Started playing music and scratching on the decks at his home with two belt drive decks and a made to fade mixer, playing early HipHop and Acid House Music.

After the birth of raving and jungle tekno music 4Q was hooked for life.

The early 90s brought a fusion of rave and travellers together at massive festivals, 4Q packed his bags, decks and hit the road.

Over 15 years later 4Q is still bringing that original rave sound back to life with new Funky.

TONKA TRAX a label started by 4Q the original TOTAL RESISTANCE dj and musician . The labels roots stem from deep within the travelling SOUND CONSPIRACY rave unit.

TONKA TRAX is a label that loves to make people dance, crossing various styles of music together to rip the dance floor. The goal of TONKA TRAX is to bring the original raw sound of an artist direct to the dancefloor including styles of dance music hard to find on vinyl.

Label created in 2007 by Attentat sonore, Riino and Orteka, to bring out of the shadow Teckno, Hard Teckno productions, unfortunately in trouble in France and also to show out abroad where the movement is still alive, keeping as a goal to explose the Dancefloor !!!

Originally coming from Free Party in France, the founding members after years of 'Tekno activism', mainly through the sound systems «Tellurik» then «Tomahawk», have discovered and developed all forms of Electronic musics.

Me, You and Yer Man is a techno dance electro dub folky gypsy tipsy project incorporating 3 main members and various guests. The aim was to make good dance music from Techno to Reggae and give the tracks a unique element and a sprinkling of soul.
The three members are Scott 'Confusion' McMahon, MC Soom T and Jonjo aka Yer man.

Scott McMahon originally started in Glasgow, djing Hard Techno at various underground parties before putting his efforts into an underground techno soundsystem called 'Confusion'. with a little help from long time friend and partner in crime MC Soom T and many others along the away too.

In 2002 a small posse of techno heads from the Netherlands bored of the same old sounds and feeling restricted in the scene that we were caught up in decided to branch off and once again start over for ourselves. Not wanting to be bound by musical styles or boundaries and wanting total freedom to put out musically exactly what we wanted the Nocturnal State label was set up in 2003.

Where ? A journey that has taken us right across Europe from spontaneous free festivals and teknivals, through beach parties, underground car parks, disused metro stations, abandoned warehouses, dirty kitchens right up to top night spots and commercial mega raves.

In a time where dance music and parties were being recognised worldwide for their appeal, the corporations of the world set about devising ways to rid the partygoers of their wages forever. While creating "safe" festivals featuring only "selected" artists and diffusing music through "legal channels" , the side effect was to bring about the removal of basic civil liberties like "freedom of assembly" such as we endure today.

The underground dance musician had no choice but to follow in the footsteps of previous generations of alternative artists: attempt fame, sign their lives away for a stipend, start their own label only to be indebted to by a distributor for so long they eventually collapse: in short become a part of the very machine they attempted to escape, leading to the inability to express their ideas because of dictation of sales, and necessity to appeal to the lowest common denominator to keep any hope of food on the table.
