Dream - 25 minutes Audio-Visual Trip

First envisioned as a live performance, Dream developed into a collaborative project between the video artist Olivier BLAECKE (aka Starsk) and the electronic music composer Johan Saurtereau (aka Teraar). This collaboration created an environment in which the music and video elements inspired the other to form a whole.

Filmed through hand-held camera, real life images were captured to create a montage of imagery. Punctuated by music, the resulting piece lies somewhere between veejaying, video art, and short film. This experimental "trip" invites the viewer to cast a new gaze on the outside world from beginning to an inevitable escape.

A wide-awake dream.

After paris, Toulouse and Rome, the exhibition "The Plot Thickens 2 : the Archetists initiated by Hekate and Radom artists (UK) stops in Marseilles and teamed Drop in Caravan and Kernel Panik up for the time of an artistic meeting mixing painting, installations, theater, performances, audio illustrations and multimedia.

These works, futuristic studies with astounding perspectives, lead also to a musical meeting that echoes back to the sound system and Label Trigger's holographic vision.

ahh the floodgates are well and truly open now and a deluge of digital milk and honey floweth forth. SORRY this is the last one for now, THATS YER LOT till i see some SALES peeps this is a track about a creature that lived in my old trainers, can you hear him squggling along the insides of yer gran's carriage clock? being an avid fan of the generation game ye'll wanna lock up yer sister's teddy bears too before he eats the stuffing from inside and recycles it as flatpack furniture OOPS RUNNING OUT OF THINGS TO WRITE ABOUT. i bet some dutch person will recognise one of the samples towards the end...its one o those 'we're shutting down the tv station go to bed' jingles. in fact....free sample library to anyone who can tell me, and PROVE where it comes from. not you chris. ok, thats about it for now, may the next hour or so be not your own. byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I guess you've worked out by now that these are the kind of tunes you can either stick on , and leave running in the background while you get on with yer life, and pick up different bits each time you hear them ( which is essentially better value for money really innit, thats why they're so long) or you pop em on in the car and they make you wanna do silly things like drive across the top of all the other traffic in order to get to that motorway and let rip with the gas pedal, or that metro journey where you finally have the confidence at rushour to push out that chest, firm that resolve and generally exude that aura of DON'T F**K WITH ME, watching satisfied as the commuter crowd parts in front of you akin to moses and the red sea.
